On the beautiful slopes of the Colle Langan in Liguria, in the North West of Italy, you can enjoy the silence, space and beautiful nature. In the middle of all this you can find Casa dei Fiori.

The house lies next to the densely forested and mighty slopes of the Monte Ceppo, and is close to medieval towns like Pigna, Buggio, Castel Vittorio and the beautiful Dolce Acqua. An half hour drive from the Italian ‘Riviera dei Fiori’ (Flower Riviera), the azure Mediterranean Sea or the French/Italian border town of Ventimiglia, brings you to Casa dei Fiori, at 800 meters in the mountains, just outside Pigna.

You can enjoy a beautiful nature, make wonderful mountainous walks or sportive mountain bike tours. But also stroll along the French Riviera in the mondaine town of Menton (45 min) or along the ‘Promenade des Anglais’ in Nice (75 min).

The House

Casa dei Fiori (‘Flower House’) lies 800 meters high on the slopes of the ‘Colle Langan’, just outside Pigna. The terrain consists of 12 terraces, each approximately 80 meters long and filled with olive and fig trees, cypresses and stone oaks and a lot of Mediterranean plants like lavender, cistus, oleander and grasses. Given the location the place is particularly suited for people who love relaxation, calmness, space and nature. The accommodation is suited for 2-4 persons; for more please consult us. The place is not suitable for small children (under 6 years old).

The stone house consists of
Ground floor: modern kitchen with all amenities, large open living room (with wood stove and a fire place) and a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. In the living room there is (satellite) TV, DVD and a CD player.

Downstairs: two connected rooms with one bedroom (two single beds) and a bathroom with sink and toilet.

Then there are two wooden houses
Wooden house 1: shower, toilet and sink (and washing machine)
Wooden house 2: bedroom with two single beds

In addition: upper and lower terraces have tables and chairs for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Luxurious loungers, barbecue, (wood fired) terrace heaters and (wood fired) hot-tub. FreeWifi (capped usage), parking space, water cooker and washing machine. Dogs are allowed in consultation.

The Environment

Liguria connects the contrasts of sea and mountains to a beautiful landscape. You can enjoy trips, go hiking or mountain biking in the mountains, or kitesurfing on the beach. Lovers of Italian cuisine are fully catered for in Liguria. Genovese pesto, freshly pressed olive oil, pickled olives, wine, many types of mushrooms, refined antipasti, primi and secondi Piatti, fish and game dishes, Liguria has it all. In Pigna, Castel Vittorio and Dolce Acqua you can enjoy various typical regional restaurants and of course Italian trattorias and bars.

Due to the altitude (about 800 meters above sea level) it is not too hot in summer, there is always a cool breeze and due to the influence of the sea, it is very pleasant even in autumn.

Walking, cycling and swimming
Casa dei Fiori is located in the lovely green ‘Alpi Liguri’ – sandwiched between high alpine summits and the bustle of the Mediterranean ‘riviera dei fiori’. In this forgotten country it is wonderful to walk through an attractive nature. Visit the picturesque, medieval fortified towns with narrow alleys and houses built on and under each other.

Famous gardens and palaces
Near Ventimiglia, the beautiful and exclusive gardens of Hanbury are a ‘must see’ for garden and plant lovers. There are more beautiful Italian gardens in Liguria to admire: in San Remo, Ventimiglia, Menton, Monaco and Nice

Near Ventimiglia and Menton is also the fashionable Monaco – a short hour from Casa dei Fiori.

Prices and Reservation

The rates for Casa dei Fiori for 2023 are as follows:

• From Saturday 29 April to Saturday 17 June 2023 € 1270, – per week
• From Saturday 17 June to Saturday 2 September 2023 € 1560, – per week
• From Saturday 2 September to Saturday 28 October 2023 € 1270, – per week

Casa dei Fiori is only available on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday.

Above prices are based on rent of the stone house by 1 or 2 people.

• In case of renting 2 weeks or more: 10% discount on the total rent.
• For 1 or 2 extra persons € 300, – will be charged extra per week; for this you get an extra bedroom and extra private shower and toilet (as well as extra bath towels and towels).
• The rent includes: 3 large bath towels and 2 normal towels per person per week. Clean bedding, dishcloths and cleaning wipes / sponges for the kitchen.
• Rental is based on a minimum of 1 week (starting Saturday 4:00 pm until the following Saturday 10:00 am).
• In order to guarantee a reservation a deposit of € 200 per week is required, to be paid within one week after booking confirmation. The remaining rental amount must be paid in cash to the owner or supervisor on arrival (or via bank transfer upfront), plus a deposit of € 350 to be paid on arrival (or via bank transfer upfront). This deposit will be paid back at the end of the rental period if no damage has occurred. The deposit will not be paid back when cancelled. Cancellation is possible up to one week before the start of the rental period.
• Smoking in the house is not allowed. Pets are allowed in consultation. It is a quiet environment – and we want to keep it that way. We ask our guests to mind our neighbors. Furthermore, it is only permitted to have other people stay over with previous permission. It is the intention that you leave the house tidy (no dirty dishes, full trash cans etc.). The owner or supervisor can charge extra costs (and deduct from the deposit) in case more needs to be cleaned than can be expected after a normal stay.
• If you do not follow the rules, the owner or supervisor will be able to ask you to leave without you being able to claim reimbursement.
• Possible disputes should be discussed or resolved directly during your stay with the homeowner or the supervisor. It is not possible to request a refund afterwards.
• Insurance: we advise you to take out a travel insurance. By making a booking for the rent of ‘Casa dei Fiori’ you agree to the above conditions.
